Things to see in Singapore

Funnily enough I enjoyed Rome. Although my attention was somewhat fluid due to the fact that the carabinieri and customs officers were very attractive women - so my first impressions were pretty good.
I enjoyed my time there, just didn't think overly much of the city itself. Still it came after Amsterdam, The Hague, Brussels, Paris and Barcelona, so I was possibly a bit "over" Cities entirely after that... :shudder

As long as you have no problems with bad service, overpriced meals and sightseeing tickets as well as the highest number of tourist traps I have ever experienced than Rome is indeed a very nice city. ;)

No seriously I like this city enough that I visited it a second time.

Agreed. Though I think my second visit will be a long time off, and possibly due to "other" factors (ie: "she who must be obeyed" :D ) than an overwhelming desire to return there...

I expect that your flight to Rome is also a little bit more expensive than my one. ;)

You may live in a sunshine country but everything else is just far far away. :p:

Ahhhh.... the four floors, been there done that. We have covered some of the same ground old faithfull. First time I went there in 02 it was hard to find a place that sold Bundy rum, went there again in 06 and there was an Australian bar on the second or third floor. Even had Lee Kernaghan on the juke box!!!!

LOL barra! yeah, a trip to singapore wouldnt be the same without going, even for just a look! id take my GF with me! not going would be like going to amsterdam blindfolded, oh.... be careful of the tall ones LOL!.....
the shopping in SG is no longer cheap im afraid. and go for bottled water waylander...SG water is either piped from malaysia or De-SAL. There is a great museum right in the city, but cant remember the name of it for the life of me. if you havnt tried chile Mud crab or Laksa, then i suggest you do, food is great! And can be cheap, depends on where its from. there are markets, and stalls near most shopping malls that are cheap. have a great time mate, im sure it will be interesting for you no matter what.
