Fox News (tv) just had a camera on one of them for about a minute. It just did a touch and go at LAX (maybe SD) or another large civilian airport. But I've seen two of them flying up and down the coast (on tv) a few times in the last 30mins.A source or pics would be great.
I'm 100% sure man. they were flying between 3:00-4:00PM EST. (Shepard Smith first time slot of the day). At one point "they" (fox or cali-affiliate) had their camera follow one in, looked like he was going to land, but barely touched his wheels to the ground and was off again (wheels back up like 10ft off the ground). Smith knew exactly what it was, "...and here comes one of those F22's in to land, what's next...? Oh, he decided better of it, just your everyday touch and go..." (something like that), Smith was being his sarcastic-self.Are you sure they were F-22's? Because I live in San Diego and I haven't seen any jet fighters in the air the last few days let alone F-22's and on that note I wasn't aware that we had F-22's here. I've seen a ton of F-18's, but never a single F-22. Besides, I don't think the airforce would want any of their new jets damaged due to smoke and debris in the air. Some pictures or links would be helpful. thanks
Must have been big circles, those things weren't known for theirSpeaking of aircraft being where they are not supposed to be.
Yesterday 3 F-104's did circles around Mayport basin and today when I was leaving I saw them parked at the airfield, if they are still their tomorrow I may try to get some pics of them.
I think the best answer I can give you is that they were taking photos of the fires to help the firefighters. It's a long shot, but that's the only answer I can come up with.I'm 100% sure man. they were flying between 3:00-4:00PM EST. (Shepard Smith first time slot of the day). I just don't get the purpose of them flying through a "fire zone" (high traffic zone) was? Looking through the smoke or at the water off the coast?
I've checked for links but I can't find anything. It was during live TV...
