On the bulk of their warships they are russian. if you look at the radar masts/christmas trees sitting on top of their surface combattants they are russian. The bulk of their land forces comms are also russian.elkaboingo said:

As india moves towards greater autonomy, then it will start to develop its own solutions. It will have to some anyway if its going to create inter connects between disparate systems.

Yes they look like christmas trees and yes they work as good as they are supposed to work. Tell me is there a new radar that the western or russain or for the matter of fact any one in the world, has invented that does not use a mast in some form or another for their anntenas?

darklegent, they're actually nicknamed "christmas trees" in some navies. It wasn't intended as a disparaging comment.
as for the topic, I suspect that the multitude of mods in here will step in if its too far off topic. the FCS for a weapon has a relationship to the mast and systems/sub systems, so its not too far disconnected from the thread topic.
