LOVE IT

Man the Germans & Japs had one of the best flying war machines in 2nd WW. It was pitty to see them all go out complete existance after the war. Russians, Americans, British all got the technology. But even at that time they dint come out with what Germans & Japs had.
I think this was a long range Jet which was involved in bombing raid over England from France.
Anyways It no longer holds it beauty against other jets on the option list.

AFAIK this is the me-262.it is basically a fighter.many beleive this aircraft could have won the airwar for germany,hadn't hitler insisted on it carrying out tactical attack(bombing)missions.had this gem of a fighter entered war earlier,it would have devastated the allied bombing missions,with or without p-51D mustang for their protection.i do not know if it ever bombed britain,but by the time these beauties arrived at battle it was already too late for germany.

Its almost a jet. could have won the war for Germany in the air but as u say it arrived when it was too late. Hitler had always prouded his tanks & Fighters & he couldnt wait to use them. He should have waited for the very last of his best weapon to come out. Think what this could have done to Russia & Britain.
Some times, I think what if Hitler had won? To the world he was evil but no it seems that if had won it wouldnt have been too bad after all. The world is facing the evil today regardless of Hitler's defeat. May be thats the reason many authors, philosophers & movie makers r trying to change the Hitler's image now days.
Anyways lets get back to the topic.

Have a look at this. The X-29 many ppl may like its look, but I hate it. It doesnt even pass for a look of Fighter jet in my book. Good thing its not coming out.

The X-29 wasn't designed as a fighter. It was a technology demonstrator.
Both are useless as combat aircraft.

Maybe use the Berkut as a recce package. It's about all it's good for.

Well I guess they would go into secondary data untill some thing new comes up & to facelitate its primary data, their secondary data would be brought forward once again. So its not completely waste of money as it can lay foundations for future jets.

Not a total waste of money, there was obviously some flight characteristics and handling data that might have been useful for UCAVs or missiles, RCS issues, handling issues.

i have to say the EF-2000 as it is the aircraft i mostly see in the skys were i live and thats not including the Tornado F3 and i have been close th the EF-2000 and it looks fab.
