Philippine Mars Begins Water Trials

Recently I posted an article regarding the final flight of the last remaining airworthy Martin Mars seaplane. This aircraft was dubbed Hawaii Mars and was flown to Canada the other was destined for the Prima in Arizona. It would now appear the 2nd Mars aircraft has been restored to airworthy condition as the the most logical way of getting her to Arizona was to fly her there, but considering the Prima facility is a wee ways from suitable water landing location does anyone have any idea where they would land this aircraft.

Persian Cat in Flight: Quite Possibly The Last Chapter of Iran's F-14 Tomcats

I put this article here as the aircraft is well over 30 years old, there by qualifying for the title of Vintage and or Veteran despite the reverse engineering and other modification to keep them flying.
Interesting article regarding the Tomcats in the service Iran. With a you tube video of the Tomcat doing a couple of passes and landing at a Airshow on Kish Island. How many are in flying condition the article does not say but where its stationed it suggests there are three units are equipped with them.

In my opinion the Grumman F-14 is still one of the most beautiful and awesome fighterjets ever created. Its really sad that
1. The US retired the F-14 in 2006 and did not keep a single one flyable.
2. Destroyed every single sparepart still existing in their stock just out of paranoid fear that something will end up in Iran.
