Use of Air Power in Afghanistan

All I will say is that they were indeed used in Afghanistan and they flew out of K2.
I was not flying them at that time and had already made my switch to the slicks.

I am not too comfortable giving too much info on the AC-130s. I hope you understand.

That's fine spectre. I can understand your reasons. It certainly seems to me that the AC130 is one of the weapon systems which seems to be highly appropriate for the Afghanistan theatre of operations.

Yes, That is basically the roll it has evolved into. They have great success in Afghanistan. I wish I was still with them after 9/11 but hell, I had a lot of fun flying the cargo/airdrop missions over there and Iraq.

Lets just hope they all stay safe.
