When the Juan Carlos I joins the Spanish fleet, it won't be long before the media releases a photo or video of a F-100 frigate escorting her. It will be one fine photograph.... I suspect many will use this photo as a computer desktop picture...

it is paradoxical that the same image is repeated in our antipodes. :smokingc:When the Juan Carlos I joins the Spanish fleet, it won't be long before the media releases a photo or video of a F-100 frigate escorting her. I think Australia will have 3 at present but will be very good, on par with the F-105.Agreed!
Hopefully, Australia will get at least 4 AWD's.
Well, it will take many years to contruct all three AWD's. So, hopefully more funds will be found before productions ends for a forth.I think Australia will have 3 at present but will be very good, on par with the F-105.

Its a CGI of a JCI/Canberra modified to act as a dedicated carrier as a replacement for Principe De Astute for the spanish navy. That would be the 3rd ship on the RAN wishlist they wanted ?
Sorry to sound sarcastic, but my comment was sarcastic, look it upIts a CGI of a JCI/Canberra modified to act as a dedicated carrier as a replacement for Principe De Astute for the spanish navy.
RAN never wanted a third Canberra class to act as a carrier. They are not designed to be carriers, they are designed to be command ships and amphibious ships.

C'mon Stevo, it was a tounge in cheek comment on the pic, I know it was CGI, and I know about the articles in 2008, hence the tounge in cheek comment. Must admit though the pic does look really goodI'm assuming you are talking about the article that was in the SMH or Australian ages ago. Seen it, read it, not so sure you were being sarcastic.
And as for our spanish friends comment about three, he was referring to the Hobart class.
