The aid is intended to help the Pakistani military modernized, an ally who:

-Capture and killed more al qaeda members than anyone else who in doing so lost more than 1000 soldiers.
-Provide logistics for Afghanistan.
-Assisted in dethroning the Taliban.

At least the Saudi Arabia is rich and do not have to depend on US military aid like Pakistan. If your country is poor, then it cannot shoot at US drones (especially since US is giving Pakistan money).

Yes KSA is rich country and it is not dependent military aid from USA but uses all USA technology and its pilots and technicians because arabs are much behind from Pakistanis.
