Austal has announced the award of a $1.029 billion contract to design and build Landing Craft Medium vessels under the Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement signed with the Commonwealth of Australia.

Seems to be a well established fact that Austal doesn’t work well with partners, which is not a good look if they are intended to play a part in the Mogami build..

Just an observation:
I think it’s quite interesting, the damage caused to Naval units whilst in port. - from the sea !

One would hope that anyone familiar with HMAS Kuttabul's namesake would already have an idea of this. On the other hand I've come across some who were completely oblivious about the event who really should have known.

Ive always wondered how quickly Incat could build a bunch of Monohull PBs, OPVs or Corvettes(Aluminium)waterjet/prop driven and either battery-electric or diesel-electric. Future expansion of the yard in the next few years and the possibility of building the future Spirits here, I wonder if there is also room for defence vessels in the future?
