Would Pakistan be able to get data linking system to all its aircrafts? I remember an article which stated that Sweden will provide datalinking to all the aircrafts if Gripen is bought.

i think paskistan should order the SAAB Awacs on C-130 Platefrom, i have seen a pic of C-130 with it in a magazine, it was a very old magazine, either military technology or asian defence journal. the c130 plateform gives many advantages to PAF, we are already using the aircraft, its a rugged easy to maintain and very easy to get its spare parts since many friendly countries operate it.

By the way has any country ordered it with C130?

I am not too sure but it might be usual platform with ERIEYE, the SAAB2000 aircraft. The aircraft comes welcome equiped to support the radar. Putting it on C-130 would mean buying 6 more C-130s & than upgrading to support the radar along with its own avionics. Besides that SAAB2000 happens to be smaller & lighter aswell as egile.

Anyways since Pakistan has signed the deal with SAAB it means its going to be a SAAB aircraft (even if its not SAAB2000). If Pakistan had wanted it on any other platform than I think we would have signed a deal with ERICSSON Systems (builders of ERIEYE Radar) alone.

Thats good that Pakistan is buying more AWACs because what Pakistan already has, she is using those in the costal areas near Karachi. Getting these would deffinatly increase Pakistan operational diameter. 6 is not a bad number considering India's more advanced and capable Phalcons (3 units) from Iserail.
