Pakistan to acquire Ukrainian BVR missiles

I think Pakistan is going to use this missile till China completes the SD-10 and it enters full scale production. The PAF will have JF-17 squadrons for quite a while before the SD-10 becomes available. So until then, we need SOMETHING. a range of 30km is very short, but its still longer than ANY missile that PAF currently has. So its a stop-gap measure. In that case, something is better than nothing. We already know that no western nation is providing us with medium range missiles.

The article itself looks like its written by someone un-knowledgeable in military equipment, english grammar, and even some events have been exaggerated. So maybe this news isn't true at all.

It the news about this is wrong then its okay cause i believe there is no immediate threat from India and in the near future. lets say 3 to 5 years. by then sd-10 wud be ready. for a IR guided missile, our current inventory of magic 2, sidewinders and pl-2's is enough. so i think we should wait it out for the sd-10 and a better IR missile.

Actually I have some incling of what we are getting from Ukraine.I'ts an air launched missile but not the ASH.Basically it's an ARM.That's all I got to know from my sources(they would not give more details cept that it's an ARM).Oh and the SD-10 might enter service early next year(it has completed testing) with the J-8.
