Pak in talks with the U.S. Belgium and the UAE to acquire the planes

What I'm wondering is that LCA man if Pakistan's jets are so obselete and stuff, then why does India keep stocking up more and more Su-30s while planning on replacing more aircrafts? You know you cant compete with China and there isnt anyone else who you would be buying more and more jets for. You guyz already have more than double the amount of jets as compared to Pakistan. Then why buy more advanced air defense equipment and aircrafts when PAF doesnt really pose a threat to you? I'd say its about time you got a 'reality check'. :smokingc:

I don't know if Pak allows only the best to fly its f-16s ....but ur point is OT ...Get my point ....the US has made it clear that there won't be any more F-16 sales to the Pak ; UAE just spent a fortune on those Falcons and they won't be gifting them to anyone ....and at the moment there are no countries coming forward to sell new jets ..... so the best option for Pak is to negotiate with China to sell you their J-10s .

The J-10 is a 4 or 4+ gen fighter but currently poor avionics hamper it . If it is upgraged then it is a better bet than any old planes from the US or other countries and is going to cost Pak less money.

In case u haven't noticed I am talking about Pak getting J-10s from China and not Sino Indian relationships ... if you want to talk about all those things pls PM me or start a thread .

To conclude -

PAF as of now desperately needs to have a jgood et which can offer a credible detterance against other airforces in the region and I don't think its going to get it from the US(very clear) or the UAE(extremely unlikely) .....so I am dead serious when I say you should buy chinese stuff ....because as of now the only logical option is the J-10 and maybe if China is generous a couple of J-11s(unlikey) :!:

LCA ur quiet optimistic about the US not selling any thing to Pakistan if i was not out of mind completely i would say, your thinking almost the same way India always thought it had an understanding with the US but Collin powel looked into the foreign ministers eye and said nothing about him designating Pakistan as a strategic ally so i would say this again THINK AGAIN may be you left something out!! and as far as i would say if the New F-16 would land in pakistan and fly with pakistans Flag well only time can tell. plus the people who fly F-16 are the best its not the falcon IAF dreads but the people who fly them!! maybe thats why IAF has never Shot one down!!!

oh just to clear this up this is not a personal attack i am merely trying to convey my thoughts to u by commenting on your messages that raize questions and provoke comments.

My point is ....let us assume that the USA now suddenly agrees to supply the Pak with F-16 (since it is now a MNNA of the USA )....which spec do u think u will get ? :? U certainly won't get the best and latest goodies on it like the Israelies ...and the UAE has one of the best versions of the F-16 and soon there are plans to export a block60 to the middle eas country which will feature goodies not yet there on the current USAF F-16's ... IMHO all this won't be given to Pak either by the USA or by the UAE or other third party .....why us ask ? :?

....see ....right now (short term of 5-6 years) the India-US-Pak relations is unstable and any major arms deal b/w either of these three parties will cause tensions in the subcontinent ....for instance will u be happy bunnies if the TOT of F-16 is given to India ( rumours are Lockheed has offered us this deal with US government bakcing) ??? no right ? similarly India won't like US giving Pak F-16s since it will affect the peace process badly and cause alarms in the Indian camp in the US who are looking to cement a good relationship with the States.

Likewise the US knows the repercussions of seeling any major arms or other defence related equipment to Pak at this critical point. It knows that the damaeg has been done by keeping India in the dark about Paks MNNA status . And it won't do such things hopefully.. :roll

yeah mate ur rite !! on all the stuff mentioned but this is what i am going to ask do you honestly think the us gives a damm about the INdo Pak friendship. lets not forget they are the biggest Arm dealer in the world which means they will try and sell every thing and anything to any one !!! lets not forget that those F-16u that they sold to the UAE are more advance then the israeli and the USAF F-16s and i think they were pushing the Saudis to buy the new F-16 but the Saudi were not too keen on them. i don't thinK pak will buy any new F-16 they want F-16 block 15 or 15 plus with MLU on them and they would only take them if the US gives them for free. they would defeinately use there MNNA status to the MAX they do have access to USAF excess equipment. and plus the US is trying to get PAK army to go to Iraq as UN mandate forces which seam like an agreeable compromise between the US and the insurgents !! so Pak would use this leverage to the max and i can bet on this !!!! what do you think about this LCa comments would be appreciated thanx correct me if i am wrong no one on earth wants to send there troops to Iraq at this time except for Pakistan!!

LCA very good points i have to comment one aspect the rebel leader was reportedly issuing compromises however these compromises are unacceptable to the coalition, but one of those compromises included the UN troops which would be allowed since they have no nationality issue when they are UN mandated. and soverenty is not affected!! about the F-16 i would say lets wait and see what happen to them the TOT 0f F-16 to india was not a full TOT(i doubt it would be ) i am sure they wanted to set up a similar production line in turkey and all key componets would come form the US. BUt still that would of been quiet substantial if pak was given a chance they would of jummped for it !!lol but they wouldn't give that to PAK. i think india rejected Falcons because of two reasons one being its a and expensive business ot induct train and set up logistics and production(with no guarentees if they would get the part tomorow if they needed them) and the the second being that PAF has flown them for a couple of decades they know how the AC behaves it would not be a good strategy to arm your self with the same stuff your enemy uses. just like india prevents Russia from selling anything to pak that the Indian Army uses.
