Q for the kiwis.
Australia has a maritime treaty with France where we attach officers to each others vessels and are able act as a Sovereign State arresting vessel. eg if a French vessel with an australian officer on board detects an illegal act impacting upon australian national integrity issues, then they have the power to intervene and arrest said offender. The same works in reverse. French officers enjoy the same luxury (apparently the food on the french vessels is significantly better though!)
Does NZ have a similar agreement in place?
