Hello all my name is Brian I live in Scotland I am 45.

I spent 20 years in the RAF a couple of years with a major defence company and now I work in civil aviation. I have a great interest in military aviation.

I found this site by accident and was impressed with the standard of knowledge and information so I thought I would join up.

Newbie on board ...

Hi,

I am looking for images representing psyops -- unofficial and official logos -- from WWII to the present, as representative of the psych operations (battalion level) for each major operation.

Many thanks,

IGG

Iam intressted inte military deals, mostly from swedish companies. Iam very intressted in politics, and when i grow up i would like to be a analyst, have the brain to forecast the international arena in near future. But i dont really know what to study, is the army a good start?

anyways thanks for some nice reading, very intressting facts and thoughts, and i hope that my posts, my foughts could contribute to something.

Hello! I am a man in the Heinz Guderian mode. Though not an army personnel like he was, i am very interested in the theory, and workings of the military. I like to discuss military topics with others who might appreciate them. I am interested in all branches of the military. I believe, that the practice of military administration can improve a person's ability in other spheres of life. A person learns to do the best he can, with what he has, and he will not complain, to himself, or to others. I was trying to get a direct link on Google, towards information on which was a better tank, the T-90, or the Leopard 2. The T-90 is a more modern tank, but informed individuals, and groups, vouch for the leopard 2. A disadvantage of the earlier Panzer Tanks of the Second World War, was that they broke down very frequently, being very complicated in their functioning. I am sure that the problem has been rectified over the many years that have passed. I am not sure if the manufacturer or supplier of tanks to the German Army is the same as in the times of the Second World War. I am a peace seeking man, but believe that the Military as an institution should endure. However, the best scenario would be one where the concept of war would become obsolete. It can be argued, that wars are fought, because armies exist. The military should always exist, if they did not, one would be counting on the assumption, that there would be no war. However, the military as an institution, should never be needed by the respective nation, as a means for defence, but as a standby, which will never be needed.

KFRtoad intro

My name is Laurent. After Officer Candidate School in St Cyr Coetquidan I was a platoon leader in the Troupes de Marines (9° RCS Nantes) in the 90s. Then for a few years I have been doing IT related stuff (internet agency and DVD production).
I am now moving back to a more security oriented field with a new company C-LVL working on an ultralight tactical autogyro system (The TOAD : Tactical Organic Airborne Demonstrator).

Hello from Ireland!

Hi lads! I'm from Ireland and am really interested in international politics. I know this site is not for politics, but my main area of interest is the Middle-East (In political terms I am generally against the actions of the USA and Israel). So this would mean a link to the military as well. I'll be honest, I don't know much about war at the moment, so hopefully this site will help me out. :)

Hello,

I'm an International Relations major in school, but I used to be a History major. I have no military experience (PC and video games don't count in the real world). I've been visiting this site for four years but never joined. I became a member of Defencetalk mainly because I got tired of not seeing any of the attached media files some people were posting in the forums.
Anyways, that was my intro and I'll see if I can positively contribute to defencetalk.

Hello everyone. First, want to say that my English is not quite laudable, so I am sorry if you don't understand me sometimes, but I will give my best. Few words about me:
I am from village near to Brezovica- ski center on Kosovo in Serbia. Before war I use to live in Urosevac, city near American army base Bondsteel, then I was wander few years, then back to this place- Brezovica, beautiful place on gorgeous Shar mountain, which is southest point of Kosovo. I am about 20, and right now I am on college in Belgrade.
I use to visit Iran defence forum and some local (Serbian) military forum, posts few replies and banned for talking the truth. So I hope you are little more tolerable and serious from them. Right now I register here, because I need few professional opinions, which I couldn't get from PROPAGANDA filled sites and which I kind of need, because of following situation on Kosovo.
When I have little more free time and find suitable thread, I will ask. See you.
  ;)

Hello everyone, you may call me Fydor. Already I feel at home among you other military defense enthusiasts. I am from the USA and am more interested in other countries defense programs. My “obsession” so far is with India which I believe is underestimated a lot. I have been studying them quite a while and am most interested in their new ICBM that they are developing. What I hope I can achieve while on this forum is a sort of collaboration of minds, to be able to talk to others who are experts on a wide range of other countries defense. I am eager to hear from you others out there.

Mod edit:

G'day mate. First thig you need to learn is there is no need to start a thread, when one already exists for this type of post.

Please be mindful of that in future. Don't start a thread without having a decent look first to see if a similar topic already exists.

Welcome to the boards.

Regards

AD

Hello DefenceTalk. I've been posting for a while over at Sinodefence as Finn McCool. I've expanded my area of operations to include DefTalk as well. So I look forward to participating in some good discussions here too.
