Chile Considers Modernisation for Marder IFV with Turkiye | TURDEF

Chilean and Turkish officials have begun discussions on a modernisation package proposal for German-made Marder 1A3 IFVs in the Chilean Army service.

Turkey ASELSAN claim in negotiations with Chile to update their Marder. Providing new turret seems shown it is quite complete upgrade package.

Kim asside inspecting the Tank also inspecting new batch MLRS. Bemil and ROK source seems believe DPRK new Tank got much needed tech from Russia. I suspect they also got similar Chinese tech supporting them. Some source claim this M2020 already got official name Cheonma 2.

Chinese Norinco offer new turrets for T72 above users. This upgrade package seems being offer for Global South T72 users to have more modern turret, but still with their own existing hull.

Put it in here not in Indonesia or Turkiye threads as not clear yet whose going to use this version. This Fire Support and Recce Vehiche (FSRV) use 30mm chain gun turret instead 105mm canon turret of Kaplan/Harimau Medium Tank. Whilw the hull retain similarities with MT version.

Rheinmetall is stating it is in "talks" with Leonardo on transferring Iveco Defense to its purview within the joint venture. That's provided it's approved by authorities, which isn't really a given considering RMMV's already substantial market share on military trucks and certain voices in the Italian government calling for Iveco Defense to remain Italian-controlled.

The Iveco Commercial Vehicles sale to Tata is only for 27.1% of the shares btw, the Agnellis don't own the rest. Getting rid of the defense branch was a precondition for this deal. Tata is planning to also buy out shares on the market significantly under current trade value.

Thai Navy (for their Marines) recieved first Battery of Self Propelled 155 gun, under licens from Israel Elbit. Basically it is under licenses ATMOS.

Czechoslovak Group (CSG) got contract of USD 2.5 bio from "customers" in Southeast Asia, for multilayer air defense system. This is seems additional deal as previously already got MRAD (medium range air defense system) from "a customer" in the region. Mind they change from plural to single term when talking from current to previous customer.

Since no official information yet on what is the system and whose the customer is or are, for this land base air defense system. I put it on International Army Thread.
