New to Defence talk. Any reason for spelling defense wrong?Hi Folks,
I just want to get a general idea on these three items, would really appreciate if you can take some time to answer:
I could put up a pop up survey script but that is just annoying and I don't like it and for the same reason I think DT visitors and members won't either.
- How did you found about Defence Talk?
- Your first impression?
- Thoughts on promoting the site?
Thanks, enjoy!
They invented the language. They can do what ever they want with the spellings of the wordsLOL, leave it to the Brits to not know how to spell properly in english. Glad to get a decent answer. Thanks.
Haha, if you type defensetalk.com you will also end up at defencetalk.LOL, leave it to the Brits to not know how to spell properly in english. Glad to get a decent answer. Thanks.

Moderators are not selected on the basis of number of posts but on their capability, knowledge, credibility as well as specialization. Almost all mods are related to military fields one way or another.Defence talk is generally nice forum, but environment of defence talk is not very much conducive ,it need lot of modification in rules and regulation and criteria of selection of moderators.
Moderators shall be selected on basis of specialisation in forum thread not on basis of no of posts.
There should be no discremination between civilian or miltery personals and usefull econimics, scientific, political and religious posts should be allowed for discussion to generate impression that this forum is not limited to only defence related post.Moderators are not selected on the basis of number of posts but on their capability, knowledge, credibility as well as specialization. Can you point out exactly where we need modifications in the rules? Our rules are mostly agreed upon by all senior members & the very same rules have brought the prestige we cherish so much to this forum.
But it is limited to only defence related issues, as the sites name suggests. & we prefer to stick by it.There should be no discremination between civilian or miltery personals and usefull econimics, scientific, political and religious posts should be allowed for discussion to generate impression that this forum is not limited to only defence related post.
I've heard it said in Europe "Q. How do you know when the tourists are British? A. They're the only ones who can't speak english.":rolling Sorry, I read that in a running commentary of the Brits in Europe one day. They invented the language. LOL, OK, now I feel dumb. Thanks for the reply and I will be putting it to work immediately. You can subscribe to a thread (Thread Tools) and get notice of every single new post via email... and it contains the post text.
Or at least it does for the 455 threads i've subscribed to at the moment.

Never my intent to offend anyone, you need not worry. I have visited the British isles and I have British friends (and neighbors) where I live as well. They seem to love Florida this time of year. ( and we both like our guiness).
That reminds of something that Russel Peters once said for an Englishman.
Anyways; Funny as it is ... I hope you don't offend our British friends here.
