No problem, will give you some further info :)
Norland has one major port and the city nearby is the economical capital of the country, with about 125000 inhabitants. This part of the country is rather flat and also has the main airport of the country. 1 runway of about 3500m. The official capital is a smaller city located in the hilly countryside of the north. About 50000 inhabitants and a smaller airfield with a runway of 1500m. Hilltops in the north are about 300m-400m above SL. As already said, the island is flat in the south (lots of agricultural grounds) and becoms "hilly" and sloped to the north. Railroad (lightrail) from capital to port and around the island, connecting other towns and villages which mostly lie near the sea, and fishing-industry present in these villages. 1 ring-highway and well maintained major roads. Some smaller islands to the south and east, counting no more than 5000 inhabitants and linked to the main island by ferries. 1 small general aviation airfield on the biggest of these islands, grass runway of 950m. Radarstation (Civ/Mil) located on of of the bigger hilltops of trhe main island. Just thought of the airline as well; "smallish" regional airline operating some ATR42's and 3 Embraer-190's. If I find some time, I am going to try to make a map! :)

Well, I did some thinking. A mechanized brigade in the south: 2 mech. infantry battalions on BTR-80, plus a rifle battalion (SP mortars, MANPADS and SP AAA, ATGM company) on BTR-80 plus a light (motorized) regiment of 1 urban infantry battalion for the major city and 2 reinforced companies for each the airport and the harbour. These companies are to consist of 2 rifle platoons, 2 machine gun platoons and a sappers platoon of which only one rifle platoon and one MG platoon to be active in peacetime.
Most of the maritime patrol aircraft and helicopters are to be based at Air Base No.2, adjacent to the IAP and for that reason the company is more involved of the airbase security than actually the airport. The harbour is adjacent to the main naval base and the frogmen are heavily involved of keeping the NB from hostile underwater incursions.

A mechanized brigade in the north: 2 mech. infantry battalions on upgraded M113, plus a rifle battalion (SP mortars, MANPADS and SP AAA, ATGM company) on M113 plus a light (motorized) regiment of 1 urban infantry battalion (also to perform guard duties) for the capital and 2 reinforced companies for the airport and a heliborne reinforcement company. These companies are to consist of 2 rifle platoons, 2 machine gun platoons and a sappers platoon of which only one rifle platoon and one MG platoon to be active in peacetime. Of course most of the two brigades will not be active in peacetime, only the training units.

Some helicopters are to be based at Air Base No.1, adjacent to the airport and for that reason the company is more involved of the airbase security than actually the airport. The handfull of training aircraft and the Hawks are also to be based there. A smaller naval station will be located nearby, consisting of some 4 combat boat 90 together with the marine regiment of some 500 men, a minesweeper or two could be attached to it. There will also be a sea observation station.

Additional units will consist an artillery regiment of 1 gun battalion, 1 towed MLRS battalion and radar battery. An air defense regiment of 1 missile battalion of three batteries with the ASRAD, mounted on Eagle IV and 3 towed AAA battalions with ZU-23, towed by Unimogs plus a radar battery for each bn. An engineer battalion, a mixed signals battalion and a logistics battalion.
Extreme reserve will consist of three motorised battalions. Gendarmery falls not into these accounts.
A paramilitary unit of repair workers for the railway: 20 men every 20 kilometers. I think the railroad should be standart as it helps trade. You can load the wagons in the depots on the island, transport them to the mainland by ferries and then they could use the railway network.
In every fishing village of more than 50 boats a maritime gendarmery unit of 1 lieutenant and 3 sergeants plus 6 maritime gendarmery reserves and a fast boat will be based in order to execute rescue and fishery control. The high patriotic level of the fishermen will help. They will be able to report for anything they found strange while in the sea.

One radar is not enough. I sugest Norland buys 4 AN/FPS-117 radars plus some BOR-A 550 ground and coast surveillance radars. 2 AN/TPS-117 will be based one on the southern and eastern islands each and coastal radars in addition to them. Each site will have a helipad for logistic flights. Each station will consist of some 6-8 air force and 6-8 navy personnel. The other radars will be kept in reserve on the main island.
On the biggest island a naval station will be established and a corvette will use it as a forward operations base plus some 2 combat boat 90s based there permanently. If situation turns hostile Shore-to-ship missile batteries could be brought there by plane or by helicopter.
Navy will consist of 2 Hamina corvettes and 3 Rauma missile FACs, 10-12 combat boat 90, some 4-6 minesweepers of swedish or finnish production, also to be used to support the frogmen, some G class landing craft for harbour security. The biggest ship will be an Elbe class replenishment ship used in variety of supply and rescue missions with a mixed crew of naval and civil personnel.
The air force will consist of 6/2 Hawk Mk.200/100 (not to my liking, but if you insist), 4 ATR-42 MPAs armed with RBS-15Mk.4 and depth charges (1 over the sea, 1 underway to replace it, 1 in the base ready to take-off to a rescue mission and 1 on maintenance), 8 AS.532AL with the israely SOCAT upgrade (or for money saving reasons 8 IAR.330 SOCAT) plus 5 more AS.532 for naval support (these helicopters will be used onboard only the Elbe ship and none other naval vessel, otherwise one each will be based at the two island groups and at the heliport o fthe main naval base, the other two will undergo maintenance, otherwise will be based at Air base No.2), 4-5 EC.145 for scouting duties. Maybe some trainers, but I sugest they stay with the National Air Cadet Corps, that will be maintained by a state-owned super-airline, also operating the coast guard aviation (3 M-28s), police aviation (4 EC.145), fishery patrol (some 3-4 small props) and the emergency responce medevac service (1 Cessna 650 - used to transport seriously ill patients to Sweden, 1 M-28 based at the minor grass airfield at the small island used to transport patients to the main island and 2 EC.145 medical helicopters each at the two airports used for rescue from the air.) In addition under that line will also fall a small number of comercial M-28s and some passenger helicopters. A share in it will also have the national airline and it will provide maintenance.
