Think what you've managed to do thus far is very well done !

In post no.#19 I see that you've even managed to make the ship start to curve from the narrow bow, widening out athwart ships just after the fwd guns. I've found this image of an Iowa class (New Jersey) to help give you a better perspective...

Keep up the excellent work & continue to take onboard the comments, rather than seeing them as criticisims/negative critque...

Thanks a lot for the images systems adict they will come in handy. I'm hoping that once I get this picture completed I can do either an Anzac class frigate or and AEGIS crusier or I may be open to suggestions. Would also love to do my grandfather's ship the HMAS Nizam but finding blueprints and reference material is extremely hard.
Anyone for something completely different:p: This is the power plant for the marlin shaped submarine that will be in dry dock in the final picture. If anyone has ever read any of Clive Cussler's Oregon files books. The they would be familiar with Hydro-Kinetic engines that use salt water as fuel.

Remember if you have a military vehicle / weapon you would like to see in 3D then ask me, guess I may as well be the resident artist. If that's ok with the moderators.

Ise class, post-conversion.

Had the aft two turrets removed, and hangar, cranes and catapults fitted. Could carry up to 22 seaplanes, and still kept 4 dual 14-inch turrets of their battleship outfit (two forward, two aft).

... Of course, Japan in 1944 didn't have the appropriate seaplanes, so the two ships never embarkes any.
if this painting is accurate they kept the aft 14 inch turrets

Just a progress report on the over all scene. The fictional submarine is nearly done, it's only small because it's a midget sub. It would probably have a crew of 4 or 5 and is armed with 2 external torpedoes and would be well suited to strikes within an enemy harbour. Ie as was seen in ww2 when a Japanese midget sub entered Sydney harbour and sank HMAS Kuttabull. A hospital vessel that my grandfather was on (due to illness), luckily he was moved off it the day before the attack!

Finally got the scene finished! I have spent about 50 hours on this project so far, glad it's finally done.

Fine by me...

How about a 3D model of Australia's new AWD's?

I'll keep that in mind mate! I have actually started doing an Armidale class patrol boat at the request of some Sea Patrol fans.
The AWD's would be a good project, heck I might design my own or base it on the Arleigh Burke design.
