Chinese Engineer Cracks Russian Su-27 Fighter Production Codes

Oh, yes, it was voluntary on the Israeli's part. They had set up an office in China. The engineers from the Lavi program were working in China, and all of the manufacturing plans were handed over. I never suggested that China stole it from Israel, just that the technology was leaked by Israel without US approval.

>> They should buy an F-22 and crack it's code.
>> Will Bush even sell it to India? :D:

My friend india should concentrate on the failing LCA project and not fantasise about cracking codes on planes of 5th generation calibre, made by the worlds leading scientists and engineers.

Regarding.. Russia taking their buisness away from china over this. Well l doubt this very much. Because the very money that comes from the sales of military equipment to its two largest customers, india & china, brings the money to fund their research and work on future developments.
The mig 1.44 and the berkut planes (prototypes) are lying in some hanger waiting for more money to continue research while there paint drys up, on the other hand the F22 is ready for production. l very much doubt the russians making a great huff towards china.
The russians may be p....d off, but theirs nothing else they can do. Money talks and bull s... walks.
This info about cracking the code is not suprising because the chinese have over the last 15 years learned that catching up to the west in R&D is almost impossible (in the conventional sense), so lets copy what we can and then try to improve and customise it, followed by a made in china badge. (though many countries have done this one time or another)
China has not only done this in the military field but also in I.T, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and other technology fields.
This is indiginisation being pushed forward. (some may call it copying) but then does china care... NO. And so they shouldn,t.
With russias current financial crisis and looking even darker in the not so near future l assume there will be alot more russian products copied and improved by the chinese. Europe will also try to get a share of the large chinese market. MONEY "wow" what a wonderfull thing.

"Chinese Sukhois in the PAF....l wouldn,t rule it out"

Thats like what 2020? By that time half the russian air force will have Mig-1.44s and S-37s and Su-35s and what ever. Having a 5th generation in hand and fighting a 3rd generation with it is like fighting a mig-15 with an F-16. Get what im sayin?
I don't think Russian even has fund for research? Mig-1.44s project is stalled due to lack of fund! So as Su-37,I think Su-35 is not even deploy due to fund problem again. By 2020,I think Russian is still operating Su-30MMk and Mig-29SMT as main forces.

Present Russia is not the Soviet Union u know 15 yrs ago.Morale is all time low! Soldeir wages r not even pay and u talk abt building and modernise the air force? They may have the abilities to field 2 squadron of Mig-144 in 15 yrs time but what the point? They need to maintain separate crew, support, facilities, spareparts and many many more...with Su-30MMK. Again, money? Russia is not china, attracting double digit billions of investment every years to substain its economy. It is in pathetic state. If I say a bit far, will mean PAPER TIGER! By then of 2020,China is already a weapon producer, selling weapon to it's allies and replace Russia. Why it need russia,do u know China R&D investment has even overtake Superpower US in mid 2004? They r doing a lot of research, trying to develop their own technology.
Aegis, where did you get all this crap from? Russia isnt Ethopia. If the russians can think about nation wide deployment of ABMs and stealth subs then they can ruddy well think of modernizing the airforce (although i doubt wether putin is dat desperate but its still possible and the option is there despite terrible consequences). Dont underestimate them too much. The Su-35 isnt stalled, the mig.144 has probably been scrapped and the Su-37 is the next candidate for a standard fighter fleet. Incase u didnt know the Su-35 (its code name is terminator rite?) is waiting for a sponsor because it already has a more advanced counterpart ,the Berkut. So dont be surprised if india comes running for this baby. The Russian arent really begging for spares either. If the arm exports are in the correct ratio to imports then its possible 2 modernize (atleast 3 to 1).

so lets drop the crap about not modernizing the airforce. Airpower is the ace of a modern power besides superweapons and pehaps a navy, and if you think someones gonna let tht go well then i guess i cant argue much here.

I thought the Berkut was a testbed for new weapons and prototype?
It is. It will never be operational. Irkut have made that persistently clear. It is not seen as survivable in the current threat climate, and it's production difficulties don't make it an attractive proposition.

Bonanza for emerging markets

The report found a six-fold increase of $192bn in net flows of foreign direct investment to countries outside the OECD, the report said.

The OECD includes the world's biggest economies of the US, Japan, Germany, France, the UK and Italy.

China attracted $53bn in investment from OECD countries, ahead of India with $4bn, and Russia with only $1bn.

Russia's performance was the worst since the mid-1990s, the OECD said. Furthermore, it found most investment in Russian firms went to one sector, the energy sector.

Elsewhere, foreign firms were drawn to pour money into big emerging economies - particularly China - because of the size of their growing domestic markets, the OECD said.

This contrasts with past trends, when firms looked to developing markets primarily "for lower wages and production costs".

Hey friend! How do u expect Russia to modenise itself when it's economic is in such terrible state! They recently intend to revive one Kirov nuclear cruiser but force to scape due to fund shortage!
I know they got a lot of natural resources but at the same time they also has a lot of commitment and public states to spend! As I say they r not Soviet Union 15 yrs ago! Modernising Air Force in 20 yrs time with Mig 144 and Su37? Hahaha!!!

Admin, settle down a bit!
