VNA, Ha Noi, Oct. 26 (VNA) – Sen. Lieut. Gen. Phung Quang Thanh, Deputy Defence Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People's Army, led a high-level military delegation to visit China and Japan.
The visits, which started on Sunday, were made at the invitations of Sen. Lieut. Gen. Liang Guanglie, member of the Central Military Commission and Chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Army, and Admiral Toru Ishikawa, Chairman of the Japanese Joint Staff Council.
Thanh is also a member of the Party Central Committee and a member of the standing board of the Central Military Committee
