AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE,
South Korea warned the United States on Jan. 25 of trouble ahead in their relations after an angry dispute broke out over U.S. sanctions against communist North Korea.
President Roh Moo-Hyun said friction could develop between the two allies over moves by Washington hawks to put pressure on North Korea.
At the same time the foreign ministry accused Washington of misleading the public regarding talks between the two sides in Seoul earlier this week about U.S. sanctions on North Korea.
