A U.S. Navy group, consisting of an aircraft carrier, a cruiser, a destroyer and a frigate, were to deploy from the eastern United States to the Caribbean for regional exercises from early April to late May, the Miami-based Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) said in a statement.
