The data in this fact sheet comes from the most recent aggregate MOU [Memorandum of Understanding] data exchanged by the Parties no later than 30 days after the expiration of each six-month period following entry into force of the START Treaty. Only the more significant aggregate data is listed.
The data under the “Total, Former USSR Parties” heading was compiled by the U.S. Department of State from the individual totals submitted by these Parties, and is provided for ease of comparison.
