Gamo USA is including a 25 count box of EXP20 .22 caliber shotshells with the purchase of the Viper Express. The shells are made of black plastic and each contains approximately 20 of the No. 9 lead shot with a combined weight of 17 grains. The patented shotshell design does not utilize traditional gun powder or firing primer for shooting. This air-powered shot gun can launch the load of No. 9 shot with sufficient force to penetrate over 1/8 inch of 200 pound compressed posterboard at more than 10 yards. At 10 yards, each shotshell is capable of producing a pattern approximately 12 inches wide. The combination of power and pattern makes the Viper Express superb for dispatching rats, mice, and other small varmints at distances up to about 15 yards. Small game birds can also be brought down at short range with this air-powered shotgun.
When inserting special chamber adapter into the breech end of the barrel it can also shoot .22 caliber match pellets and you're shooting at a sizzling 750 feet per second, plenty of power for varmint hunting, small game, and target shooting.
