AFP / AFX, FRANKFURT: ThyssenKrupp AG is planning to bid for a contract for six submarines India's navy is planning to tender in autumn next year, Wirtschafts Woche magazine said in a report to be published tomorrow, citing no sources.
Earlier this year, ThyssenKrupp was outbid on a similar contract, worth 2.4 bln usd, by state-owned French shipyards group DCN.
Meanwhile, TheyssenKrupp expects to begin due diligence on BAE Systems PLC's German naval systems unit Atlas Elektronik GmbH on Sept 26, the magazine said.
It said the German steel giant values Atlas at 200 mln eur.
