Dirgantara Indonesian Aerospace, Thailand is interested in operating Dirgantara CN-235 aircraft and has ordered ten units worth US$200-220 million. Six of them will be operated by Thailand Ministry of Defence and the other four by Ministry of Agriculture.
As reported before, Dirgantara has proposed a counter-trade system for CN-235 aircraft sales. However, management has decided that the purchase by Thailand will be paid in cash, not in such a system.
The decision is in accordance with Indonesian Government policy on trading mechanisms.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono Witnesses Delivery by Dirgantara to Indonesian Army
Dirgantara delivered an NC-212-200 aircraft and an NBell-412 helicopter to the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) on 3 January 2006, in Bandung, West Java.
The NC-212-200military transport aircraft and the NBell-412 troop transport helicopter can carry 18 and 15 passengers respectively.
The delivery was attended by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the President of Republic of Indonesia.
The event is also used as the special occasion to sign up the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ten Industrial Strategic State-Owned Enterprises and Indonesian Departement of Defence, and to sign a Letter of Intent (LoI) between the State Ministry for State-Owned Enterprises
