http://www.sabcnews.com, Two Swedish test pilots and their South African counterpart have performed test flights with Griffon jet fighters at the Ysterplaat Air Force Base in Cape Town. The aircraft arrived from Sweden by ship over the weekend.
A thunderous reverberated across the skies as the pilots took the aircraft to their limits.
South Africa has orders 28 griffon fighters, nine dual seaters and 19 single seater aircraft, which will be delivered to the SA Air Force by 2008.
The jets are said to be the most cost effective and capable fighter aircraft available across the world.
The three are testing the aircraft ahead of the African Aerospace and Defence Air Show in Pretoria next weekend.
