AFP, Taiwan reiterated to a top U.S. envoy Oct. 16 that it wanted access to cutting-edge U.S. submarine technology to accompany its order of eight submarines from the United States, a parliamentarian said.
Defense Minister Tang Yao-ming made the request in a meeting with the visiting top U.S. envoy to Taipei, Therese Shaheen, said parliamentarian Ho Min-hao, who was present.
