Patria, The first high-cabin NH90 transport helicopter destined for the Swedish Defence Forces assembled by Patria in Finland has flown successfully its industrial flights. The helicopter in question is the third Swedish NH90 to take off as the two others have been assembled by Eurocopter in Marignane, France. Of the remaining 16 Swedish helicopters, 14 will be assembled in Finland and two in France.
Patria has already assembled standard NH90 transport versions for the Finnish Defence Forces and their industrial flights have also fulfilled all expectations. Patria is responsible for assembling 50 NH90 helicopters for Sweden, Finland and other operators. Patria’s teams have been working very closely for the past three years with Eurocopter and its partners to acquire the requested knowledge and skills to assemble and maintain the NH90.
The Finnish assembly line is the 4th operational assembling line for the NH90, beside the ones based in France, Germany and Italy.

The commissioning of the NH90 helicopters in the Nordic countries will initiate the need for maintenance, repair and modification services as a part of life cycle services. Patria is targeting a major role in this business.
