G-MoD, BERLIN — German Federal Minister of Defence Dr. Peter Struck and his Spanish colleague, Dr. Federico Trillo Figueroa, have signed an agreement for the participation of Spain in the French-German Tiger program.
A comparable agreement has already been signed by the defense ministers of France and Spain.
With this agreement, the co-operation of the countries involved within the helicopter industry will be strengthened, and European arms co-operation will be extended by a significant project.
Germany and France will each receive 80 Tiger combat helicopters, while Spain plans the procurement of 24 helicopters.
