US Defense Security Cooperation Agency, WASHINGTON: The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of a possible Foreign Military Sale to Poland of Shadow 200 RQ-7B Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Systems as well as associated equipment and services. The total value, if all options are exercised, could be as high as $73 million.
The Government of Poland has requested a possible sale of:

-8 – Shadow 200 Air Vehicles with electro-optic/infrared imaging payloads
4 – Ground Control Stations (GCS) and associated ground data terminals
2 – Portable GCS
2 – Portable Ground Data Terminals
2 – Launchers
2 – Maintenance Section Multifunctional Vehicles
2 – APX-100 Transponders
2 – Global Positioning Systems
2 spare Air Vehicles
28 AN/VRC-90F Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS)
14 M1152 unarmored High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicles
12 AN/PRC-148 Multi-band Inter-team Radio with U.S. SINCGARS Waveform
28 RT 1523E SINCGARS Receiver-Transmitter and KIT-1C Crypto Computer
AN/VRC-103 consisting of 3 RT-1796 (P) Harris Multi-band Radios
Also included are Mobile Maintenance Facilities consisting of 2 air vehicles and ground support equipment, environment control units, shelters, maintenance, trailers, kits, containers, installation, systems, communications equipment, spare and repair parts, publications and technical data, personnel training and training equipment, quality assurance, U.S. Government, Field Service, and contractor representatives, contractor engineering and technical support services, and other related elements of logistics support. The estimated cost is $73 million.
This proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by improving the military capabilities of Poland and enhancing standardization and interoperability with U.S. forces.
Poland intends to use the UAV systems in support of European Union Brigades and North Atlantic Treaty Organization operations. The proposed sale of the UAVs will enable Poland to provide intelligence from the Battalion to the Brigade/Division level. The UAVs will support Poland
