SELEX , SELEX Sensors and Airborne Systems (S&AS) S.p.A., a Finmeccanica company comprising SELEX Sensors and Airborne Systems UK and Galileo Avionica Spa, is a leading supplier of integrated sensor systems for military and security platforms. SELEX S&AS will take part in the 2006 Defexpo exhibition, New Delhi 31 Jan – 3 Feb, displaying a selection of its most advanced products at the Finmeccanica Stand – Hall 9, No.20.
The systems on display include:
–ATOS (Airborne Tactical Observation and Surveillance) system, an advanced mission management system, operator consoles and a wide range of sensors (Seaspray surveillance radar, multisensor turret). It has been designed to respond to the growing demand for the area surveillance, recording and classification of traffic by land or sea, pollution detection, disaster control. The ATOS LW (lightweight) is a one-console version developed for small aircraft and helicopters. It can be easily adapted to both fixed and rotary wing aircraft and can integrate a number of mission sensors using most avionics and data links.
–Seaspray radar 6500E, 7000E, 7500E, a range of surveillance radar products capable of being fitted to a wide range of rotary and fixed wing platforms. The system is modular in design and encompasses only two line replaceable units (LRU) making installation more flexible and more economic.
