A Saudi military team visited Pakistan and evaluated the Khaled tank during the visit by Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz in October. The Saudi team was composed of 23 officers from the Royal Saudi Land Forces, headed by Maj Gen Ahmed Bin Said Al Shehri.
The Saudi evaluation also included other Pakistani armored vehicles. They included the Saad armored personnel carrier.
Officials said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have expanded their military cooperation over the last five years. Pakistan has trained Saudi pilots, conducted exercises with the Saudi navy, and supplied weapons and training to the Saudi security forces.
