Saab AB, Saab Training Systems in partnership with Krauss Maffei Wegman (KMW) has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for the SUS (Gunnery training system) RB57. The total value of the contract is over 100 MSEK.
“We are proud that together with KMW we can offer cost-effective training to the Armed Forces. Through this collaboration we reinforce our ability to offer new training capability to our customers”, says Johan Ohlson, President of Saab Training Systems.
Saab Training Systems, who is the main supplier, is responsible for integrating KMW’s virtual simulator with Saab’s ATW system NLAW (RB57). The order is for ten RB57 systems with up to six users per system. The system will be used for gunnery training for 800 users annually. The system will also be used for mobile training during missions. The deal consists of a product section and a support section.
