Today, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergei Shoigu stated that another unannounced combat readiness inspection has been launched starting from 7 a.m. on June 14 in accordance to the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces for assessing combat and mobilization readiness of troops and forces.
“A number of armament and hardware storing bases and separate military control bodies will be inspected,” said General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.
According to the head of the defence department, special attention is to be paid to mobilization capability of the Russian Armed Forces, condition of reserve formations, hardware and armament alongside with preparing troops for performing assigned tasks during armed conflicts of different intensity and crisis situations.
General of the Army Sergei Shoigu said that cooperation between formation headquarters and executive power bodies of the Russian Federation subjects, and military registration offices was to be controlled. Readiness of troops control systems with deploying field mobile control posts of involved formations is to be inspected, he added.
“Special attention is to be paid to organization of activity of the operational personnel while planning activity of troops in different crisis situations,” stressed the Defence Minister.
Capability of military districts for urgent coherence and delivering formed military units and formations to regions of natural and technogenic accidents is to be inspected either, ordered General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.
During the inspection, the Minister of Defence ordered to provide strict observation of security requirements, weapon and armament safety, to exclude cases of state property damage, to prevent the negative influence on the environment.
The Chief of the military department ordered to form 4 working groups and organize their operation in joint strategic commands as well as ordered the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation General of the Army Valery Gerasimov and Deputy of the Minister of Defence General of the Army Dmitry Bulgakov to control progress of the inspection.
Sergei Shoigu ordered the Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov to inform foreign military attaches about holding the unannounced complex combat readiness inspection of the troops.
The inspection will last until June 22.
