Thales, Recently, the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) and Thales Nederland signed a contract for the delivery of three MIRADOR electro-optical weapon control systems to be installed on the RTN's future Coastal Patrol Craft. The Naval Dockyard and other local subcontractors will build these Patrol Craft in Thailand. The armament of these ships will consist of two 30 mm guns. Integration of the guns in the fire control system will be the responsibility of Thales.
The systems are to be delivered to the customer in June 2007. The ships are scheduled to be handed over to the Royal Thai Navy in September 2007.

Compact and lightweight, MIRADOR is Thales' latest optronic weapon control system. Its one-piece stealthy sensor head houses a mix of various electro-optical sensors for TV surveillance, TV tracking, infrared tracking and laser range finding. The system has already been sold to various NATO navies.
