Finnish Government news, Finnish defence and aerospace group Patria is negotiating with Croatia over a contract to supply 126 armoured combat vehicles to the country's military. The value of the deal would be about 170 million euros.
Ivo Sanader, the Croatian prime minister, said Thursday Patria was a candidate that should be taken very seriously.
Mr Sanader and Matti Vanhanen (centre), the Finnish opposite number, briefly discussed the issue in Zagreb on Thursday.
Patria faces competitors such as Austria's Steyr. The Croatian government is expected to pick the supplier within the next few months.
