, ISLAMABAD, Nov. 11– Pakistan has offered about 300 acre land to China on lease and deferred payment to build 'China City' inside Pakistani territory, Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Shaukat Aziz said here on Tuesday.
Speaking in a PTV program he said “Pakistan has asked China to take benefit from excellent proximity of Pakistan with Central Asia, Middle East and South Asian countries.”
The main aim behind offering the land to China was to increase employment opportunities for Pakistani youth. By this Chinese companies would be able to export goods to aforementioned countries, he added.
The minister said the signing of Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) would open new vistas for both countries and would not endanger Pakistan's indigenous industry.
