A three-ship formation of JF-17 Thunders along with a Pakistan Air Force contingent comprising pilots and technicians departed from an Operational PAF Air Base on Sunday to participate in the forthcoming Paris Air Show 2015.
A Pakistan Air Force Media Affairs official said in a statement that the 51st Air Show organised by French Aerospace Industries Association would start on June 15 at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions and would continue till June 21.
One JF-17 aircraft will perform in the flying display and the other will be on static display throughout the show.
The JF-17 aircraft has already participated in various air shows of the world, including Farnborough Air Show (United Kingdom), Zhuhai Air Show (China), Turkish Air Show (Turkey) and Dubai Air Show (United Arab Emirates).
The JF-17 Thunder is a light weight multi-role aircraft which has been jointly co-developed by PAF and China Aero-Technology Import Export Corporation (CATIC), and co-produced by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and CATIC.
The JF-17 aircraft is also poised to become the mainstay of Pakistan Air Force, as the PAF plans to replace its ageing fleet of fighter aircraft with JF-17s.
