AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE, Pakistan Sept. 11 defended a peace deal that the government signed with tribal elders and pro-Taliban militants along the troubled regions bordering Afghanistan.
The deal, which allows the expulsion of foreign fighters from the North Waziristan region, had been criticized by analysts who voiced concern that Pakistan had conceded too much ground to militants.
