Defence and security company Saab have signed a contract on further deliveries of components for the Carl-Gustaf man-portable weapon system.
The order has a total value of MSEK 313 and comprises components for ammunition to the latest version of the Carl-Gustaf system. The contract also contains options for further orders of about MSEK 150, in the time period 2012-2013.
“This is very positive and it further proves the capability of the Carl-Gustaf system which until now has been exported to more than 40 customers around the world says Tomas Samuelsson, Head of business area Dynamics.
The industry’s nature is such that depending on circumstances concerning the product and customer, information regarding the customer will not be announced.
The Carl-Gustaf system has a long and successful history, and still proves itself to be a highly modern and capable Ground Support weapon. The system has successively been modernized and adapted to meet new requirements. With the Carl-Gustaf M3 version Saab offer state-of-the-art capability for demanding customers investing in the future.
Deliveries will take place during 2012-2013.
