Williamsburg: Navy Customs Battalion Romeo are wrapping up a four-week intensive training that began July 31 in preparation to perform customs inspections in Kuwait and Iraq.
At the end of their training, the 450-member Battalion will relieve Navy Customs Battalion Quebec.
Customs Battalion Romeo, composed of mobilized Reservists, trained and equipped by the Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group, offers a unique distinction from current and past Navy Customs Battalions serving in Kuwait and Iraq. More than 20 percent of the battalion comes from the Navy Reserve
