South China Sea (June 16, 2006) - Engineman Fireman Tiffany Bailey documents engineering checks in the number one main machinery room aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46). Tortuga is enroute to Thailand for the 2nd phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT). CARAT is an annual series of bilateral maritime training exercises between the U.S. and six Southeast Asian nations designed to build relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
