The command and reconnaissance vehicle was developed by FMC Corporation using automotive components of the M113 Armored Personnel Carrier built by the same company.The first production vehicles being completed in 1968. The Lynx's maximum road speed was 70.8km/hr, while on water the maximum speed was 5.6km/hr.
