What's this missile?

Its the French Exocet missile. Its an air to ship missile, with a range of around 30km. It flies close to a surface of the sea, and was very effective in its time, with a sucess rate of ~90%. PAF has around 30 of them, and they are the Mirage's primary weapon in the air2sea role.

Umair wins!

No wonder I couldn't figure this one out, I thought is was an air-to-ground missile (but it wasn't quite AS 30 and certainly not Exocet)

Thanks fellas.

Sorry I disagree the super 530 "matra" looks entirely different the wings of this look like the exorcet

and the exorcet is a fine weapon it can be extended and used both on the air,sea and ground.

The wings of exocet is somewhat smaller then the one in the picture. I know, I've seen them up close.

Ah, but there's the rub .... you say Matra SUPER 530, which is the follow-on to the Matra R 530. The SUPER 530 indeed does look different (clipped wings, for example).

It's definitely not an Exocet, it's not a Matra Super 530 either, here's a Super 530...

I think we had already figured out and established it was R 530. It just didn't register with every one.

Thanks everyone for your input.
(I suppose that concludes this topic ...)

I stand corrected. However, I see no logos on that Mirage that would suggest it belongs to the PAF.
Check the link in the first post of the thread. The image shows a Mirage III. If you look closely you can just barely make out PAF insignia on tail fin.
