Hi!
I was just wondering, what skills is needed from a pilote in modern warfare?
In my imagination 1 on 1 dogfighting is not as required anymore, atleast from NATO - pilots, as it seems like bombing is whats popular these days.
An invasion these days consists of destroying the planes either on the ground, or with rockets from miles away with a force far surperior to the enemy.
I can only speak from what i know the pilots in my country does well, and that is low level flying, in narrow fjords and deep valleys. The same way every country has their pilots trained to be experts in flying in their enviroment. But is this an obsolete art with the evolution in warfare, and improved technology?
EDIT: Fixed some
