Unwanted Advertising Bar

I have a problem with viewing news items. The Home page is ok but when I click on a news page, it has a vertical bar that floats on the screen as I scroll and covers up the center of the news item. The bar has clickable placeholders for various sites, 3, tweet, 3, f share, in, in share, submit, reddit, su, submit, 0, + share. I can't seem to get rid of it. My antivirus did say got a virus or whatever from this site a short time before the bar appeared, which I passed on to the administrators. Help!

Thanks. I will check on the bar issue. Its not advertising bar, but social media bar, allows users to share the news with their friends on the social networks.

The virus alerts were fixed few weeks ago.

The virus alerts did stop shortly after informing you, I thought it might have been whatever put the social bar in place.

Woohoo, the big vertical social bar has gone. I can now read Defence news items.
