Hi All

A couple of questions on the Turkish Navy

I seem to remember that the Turkish Navy awarded a contract to Aselsan about 4 years ago to upgrade the ESM on the Dogan Class - I have been looking around but can't find any info on how the programme is going and if the new systems have been installed - any clues anyone?

Has there been any indication as to the prefered ESM for the new MILGEM Corvettes - again I have had a look around but can't find any details.

Any help greatly appreciated

The upgrade project has been completed and all Rusgar class FAC's have been operating with ASELSAN ARES-2N ESM system.

Ruzgar class is the second batch of four FPB57 type FAC's produced after Dogan class. I'm not 100% sure if Dogan class will also be upgraded with ARES-2N, but it's highly probable.

Has there been any indication as to the prefered ESM for the new MILGEM Corvettes - again I have had a look around but can't find any details.

MilGem class is also going to be equipped with ARES-2N. A modified version will most probably be installed the new 6 Type 214TN AIP submarines.
