It looks like a anti corrosive paint for the seams and access openings.
Well, it's a stealth fighter. The tolerances of assembly are important; as is the smoothness of the surface including sealing off any openings. I bet they're pretty meticulous with that work.

... actually, that could also be wrapping in the pic. That "strip" between radome and color is kinda suspicious.

You know, like they wrap cars on delivery from factory so the paintjob doesn't get scratched ;)

I wouldn't dismiss it, but I'll stick with that it is unpainted as the seams are consistent with openings in the aircraft, which are to be utilised further down the development spiral. F.i. the slots for the block 30 sidelooking AESA.

The radome will probably not be painted as it will affect its bandpass attributes, just as the canopy interface is probably in its prefab colour. The tape is just a coincidence...

Recently watched this bird doing tricks in Toronto let me say it was totally awsome.but my question is to people here.i saw it flying against F15 and it look like a giant with a baby giant being the F22.am i right to assume its a bigger bird or i need a new prescription for my glasses.:shudder
