Stupid question

Hopefully someone here will be able to give me a straight answer, as Defence Recruiting won't and I'm having a hard time getting in touch with anyone that can tell me!
Obviously I'm a noob to this forum so I apologise profusely in advance if I'm asking this in the wrong place.

I'm in the application process for the RAAF as a SIGSOP(L) and I want to get a tattoo on my forearm. Yeah yeah, I know it's been asked before but often most people answer with the "case by case" situation. My issue is simple really. If a two line poem in Scottish Gaelic on the inside of my forearm which will probably be no longer than about 15cm would likely cause issues in the application process then I'll just get it somewhere else, on my back for example.

I'm aware that it really depends on the tattoo and that sort of thing but I really don't want to risk that it could cause problems for me. Obviously the forearm can be covered up by a long sleeve but chances are that I'd not be keen on wearing long sleeves in warmer weather.

So should I suck it up and get it somewhere less obvious? Given that it's so important to me to get in I don't want to do ANYthing that might jepordize my application. I'm happy to get it elsewhere if that's what's required but it IS my preferred location for fresh ink. I have one tatt already that it's been confirmed will not be an issue (high on my shoulder).
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I realise it's tough to give a definitive answer but even a "It should be ok" is better than the "Do it and see what happens" that I seem to be getting at the moment :rotfl

They should tell you at recruit training. Get in, go through training, and then once you're active go and get the tatoo.
